Aisha's POV The door had barely slammed behind the Beta when Jack spun on me. His face was pale under the streaks of blood, his eyes burning like wildfire. "This is your fault," he snarled, each word clipped and furious. I raised my chin, though my wrists ached where the silver had burned them raw. "No Jack. He ripped the cuffs off, the bite of metal leaving deep angry grooves in my skin, then he yanked me up so hard that my knees nearly buckled. "You're coming with me," he hissed, dragging me up the damp stairs. The corridor above was a storm. Warriors shouted orders, claws scraped on the marble. The scent of iron and blood thickened with every step. Through the windows I could hear bodies colliding in the distance. The pull of the bond inside me sharpened with every breath. He was here.
