ZANE’S POV “Move! Get him in!” I barked. My voice was way harsher than I wanted it to be but I was pissed. I was worried. The sight of Liam limp and bloodied in the warriors’ arms tore something inside me. The helicopter blades were already moving through the air around us. Two warriors scrambled up the ramp, carrying Liam’s heavy body inside. Liam’s blood dripped onto the metal floor in thick spots. The sight of him made my chest ache. “Natalie.” Liam whispered. “Hold him steady!” I snapped again. My fists were clenched so tight my nails dug into my palms, but I couldn’t unclench them. My Alpha. My brother. My best friend. He looked half-dead. Chloe rushed past me and dropped to her knees beside him. Her hands trembled as she pressed them hard against the wound in his stomach. “Stay with me, Liam. Please, please hold on,” she whispered. Her voice cracked as she spoke. “Doctor!” I roared. The wolf doctor was already shoving through the crowd. Luckily, we carried a pack doctor with us.
