Chapter 6 He Was Never Worth It
Cressida dug her nails into her palm until her skin nearly broke as she said, "Say you love me. Just once. If you do, whatever happens between you and Natasha from now on won't concern me."
Luther's brows drew tight, disbelief flickering across his face.
He wondered what she was after, as she knew he'd never love her.
He looked down at her and was about to speak when quick footsteps came pounding down the corridor.
"Mr. Strudwick, Ms. Natasha's condition has taken a turn for the worse. If she doesn't get a blood transfusion soon, her life will be at risk!"
Concern flashed in Luther's eyes. He turned to Cressida without hesitation. "Fine. I agree. Give Nat your blood now. And you'd better not try anything, or you won't like the consequences."
Cressida lowered her eyes, a bitter taste flooding her mouth. Of course, he was willing to do anything when it came to Natasha.
"Well, please remember what you just said, Mr. Strudwick."
She looked away and rested her arm on the blood-draw
